Portfolio tracker Australia

Track your shares, ETFs and tax in one Australian portfolio tracker

Metrifly brings ASX and global holdings, dividends, franking credits, CGT and ATO myTax-ready reports into one place — built for Australian investors who have outgrown broker dashboards and spreadsheets.

Share portfolio tracker

Built for the messy reality of Australian portfolios

Broker apps show one account at a time. Spreadsheets break when you add DRPs, overseas dividends, ETFs with AMMA statements, or a second entity. Metrifly is designed around the whole portfolio and the records you need at tax time.

Tax, handled

The Australian tax bits, done right

01 / CGT

CGT with the 50% discount

Capital gains at the parcel level, with the 50% discount applied automatically past 12 months. Entity-aware — 50% for individuals and trusts, 33⅓% for SMSFs, 0% for companies — with your choice of FIFO, LIFO or minimise-CGT lot matching, so you see the impact before you lodge.

02 / Franking

Franking credits, grossed up

Franked income grossed up at the corporate rate, with the franked and unfranked split kept visible for reconciliation. You still verify eligibility rules, such as the 45-day holding-period rule and small-shareholder exemption, before lodging.

03 / ATO

myTax-ready reports

CGT and income summaries plus a myTax-ready CSV for lodgement. On the Pro plan, give your accountant read-only access and download detailed PDF reports.

FAQ

Australian investor questions

Does Metrifly handle Australian CGT?

Yes. Capital gains are calculated at the parcel (lot) level, and the 50% CGT discount is applied automatically to assets held more than 12 months. It's entity-aware — 50% for individuals and trusts, 33⅓% for SMSFs, 0% for companies — and you can choose how lots are matched on disposal: FIFO, LIFO, minimise gain, maximise gain, minimise CGT, or specific-lot selection.

Can I track franking credits?

Yes. Franked income is grossed up at the relevant corporate tax rate, with the franked and unfranked split taken from an explicit franked percentage where available. The 45-day holding-period rule (90 days for preference shares) determines whether credits qualify, and the Small Shareholder Exemption applies for individuals with A$5,000 or less of franking credits in a year.

Which Australian brokers are supported?

CommSec, Stake, SelfWealth, Pearler, Superhero, CMC and 100+ in total (Australian and global) — either via CSV trade export or email forwarding for the major Australian brokers. Don't see yours? Send us an export and we'll add the format.

Can I produce ATO myTax reports?

Yes. Metrifly generates CGT and income summaries with myTax field mapping. Export as XLSX or PDF, or invite read-only portfolio access from Starter upward.

Can I use it for my SMSF or family trust?

Yes. Reporting is entity-aware across Individual, Company, Trust, and SMSF, so the CGT discount and tax treatment match how you actually lodge.

Does it handle foreign shares for Australian tax?

Yes. Foreign-currency holdings are converted using end-of-day exchange rates, and FX gain is reported separately from market gain so you can see how much of a result came from currency movement. Foreign income is tracked with a foreign income tax offset (FITO) for tax time.
